VINTAGE Hammered copper vase, fashion unique form, gorgeous patina, probably mid-century or earlier, possibly Arts and Crafts.
Here is a stunning mid-century or earlier hammered copper vase with a unique form and a GORGEOUS patina. The base and mouth of the vase are round, but the body is 4-sided, with rounded corners, which creates a more geometric feeling to the vessel. There are no identifying marks that I can see. It is possible that this dates to the Arts and Crafts movement, or not. It could also be from Mexico where there fashion is a tradition of fine copper works and artists, such as Ramon Ramirez. I cannot say with any certainty what the age or provenance of this piece is. That being said, I just adore it whenever, or wherever, it came from.
The patina indicates age and use which is to be expected from a vintage piece. This has two blemishes on the same side of the vessel and can be seen in the photo. They appear as a darker oxidized area.
All vintage items are unique and have come to us through a journey of their own. Much like ourselves their beauty includes imperfections and signs of their past. I do my very best to note any obvious damage or discoveries that might detract from an item's beauty. All items are sold as is.
Note: Any styling props or accessories used in the photos are not included with this item.
