A Limoges porcelain figurative inkwell by Camille Tharaud dating from the 1930s. The antique French figurine has been created in the form of a man reclined in a chair with arms at his side and legs crossed. The figure of the man is supposed to be a personnification of a human stomach as the ceramic inkwell was originally used as advertising for Normogastryl and Ergepatine, medication for stomach pain. The underside of the inkwell has been fashion stamped with the Tharaud manufacturer's mark.

DIMENSIONS:
3" Tall x 4" Long x 2" Deep (8 cm x 10 cm x 5 cm).

CONDITION:
The Limoges porcelain inkwell is in excellent condition.
