Approx. 11" long. I haven't tested it yet but the battery compartment looks very good inside.
Please note, the cockpit cover I have on this right now does not actually go with this vehicle, but I thought it looks better than nothing so I will be including it with this listing. It doesn't really fit but rests in place.
