Dark gray, white stripe, natural organic dye cotton, handwoven tribal textile, Karen Hmong fabric, Thai bohemian throw MQ49This is a hand made fabric by the Karen or Karian ethnic group of Thailand and Burma. It is hand woven on a traditional back-strap loom with cotton colored using natural, organic, vegetable dyes. This is a more expensive and time-consuming pr4cess thanousing chemical dyes but results in the enchanting characteroand soft hues of the colors you see in the photos.Because of the narrow size of a back-strap loom (narrow to fit the size of the weavers back), the fabric width is correspondingly narrow and this shirt/tunic is constru2/ed of twooseparate lengths of fabric, folded over at the shoulder of the garment and hand sewn toge/her both on the sides and in theomiddle front and back. You may of course wear it as a tunic…or itocan be re-purposed into cushions, bags, table runners, throws, etc...The dimensions are 41 inches long x 23 inches wide per side and without the fringe.
