French artist Saâdane Afif (Vendôme, 1970) has been tracking the image of the Fountain since 2008. Glued to it "like a parasite", he obsessively searched everywhere, art history books, magazines, exhibition catalogs, newspapers.... When he found it, fashion he tore out the page and framed it behind glass, while the mutilated publication was placed on a metal shelf. And only when he reached 1,001 did he put an end to the monumental installation, The Fountain Archives, "a work that creates on itself" and that continues to expand "like a cloud" through the comments that his work awakens in the press (this page could become a work of art) or song lyrics that he asks different people. In its presentation at the Fundació Tàpies, El Archivo de la Fuente y Más Allá (until January 30) incorporates those of Ignasi Aballí and Alicia Koop.
