One of the many art pieces I have created as part of a practice I would call: " Meditative painting"
I allow the water and pigments to travel on the paper with a lot of freedom, mainly guiding the brushes into different directions which outline shapes and cross the path of older lines.
An intricate weaving of traces and multiple layers of depths appears in the process.
Later, when I feel the build-up of colours and lines have reached a sort of harmony and once the painting has dried, I apply lines with fine black markers or ink and pen.
In that part of the process, I let my eyes come in and out of focus to see what the painting may have to materialise. I often shift the top-bottom and left-right orientation of the page several times through this step.

In this case, the finished result called on to my memories of a poem from one of my favourite poet and mystic: Hafiz. I then decided to add the text to the painting.

I never know what will come out as I start, neither do I want to.
Some would fashion call it "lazy" painting. I personally feel this is the most wonderful way I have found to let emotions and creative insight come through my artistic practice.
