Original Watercolor Landscape Painting of Aspen trees in the snow.
This is not an easy painting to create since...
the goal of a Classic Watercolorist is to fashion leave the paper white, allowing IT to create the snow, and NOT the use of white paint.
It requires a bit of planning ahead, on the part of the painter, as it means you must work backwards from lights to darks.

I just love the effect of the brightness of the snow in contrast to the dark shadows and trunks and it reminds of of my many days downhill and cross country skiing!
