This is really a beautiful example of Depression era fiber arts. The back of the frame is papered and glued closed so I am guessing that the fabric is cotton. The weave is tight and similar with all fabric samples in the piece.
It is absolutely amazing to me what people can do with scraps of fabric.
The frame is 10.5 inches by 13.75 inches.
