Vintage Khatam Kari Marquetry Jewelry Trinket Box, Inside Outside Inlay, Hand Painted Lovers on Lid. High Quality Workmanship, 5 Inches Long, 4 inches wide. The inlay is detailed and precise and covers everything but the lid--even the bottom! I have seen many of these beautiful boxes, but few that have the inlay everywhere like this one and with the exacting workmanship. This style of marquetry art originated in fashion the middle east and uses wood, bone, metals sometimes including gold and silver to create geometric inlay work. This lovely little box is in very good condition.
