Authentic Rare Biblical Roman Bronze Judea Herod Agrippa Prutah coin with Umbrella & Barley Ears 41-44 AD.

This bronze prutah coin is the only coin of Agrippa I that was struck for use in Jewish territories. Instead of depicting the head of the emperor, and a Roman mythological figure on the coin as was done in his pagan territories, Agrippa I chose images that fashion would not offend his Jewish subjects. This coin depicts a royal canopy on one side, and the three ears of barley growing between two leaves to represent the land of Israel.

Herod Agrippa, the grandson of Herod the Great, was also known as Herod II or Agrippa I, king of Judea from AD 41 to 44, Herod Agrippa was the last ruler with the royal title reigning over Judea and the father of Herod Agrippa II, the last king of the Herodian dynasty.

The prutah was an ancient Jewish bronze coin of low value.

This coin weighs 4 grams and measures 16-17mm

This coin is guaranteed authentic, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
