Product code: Vintage Meccano spare sparts and miniature fashion brass tools

A fun mini collection: Vintage Meccano spare parts box with the original spare parts and 13 miniature cast-brass tools made by Intercast. Meccano, the original erector set, was created in 1898 by Frank Hornby in Liverpool, UK. The mini box with a sweet litho of a boy and cat playing with the set fashion probably dates from the early 1900s. The tiny tools that are appropriately paired with the nuts and bolts were made by Intercast in the 1950/60s. The original advertisement touted: "Intercast miniature tools actually work--try them!" And the scissors actually DO work! The Meccano box measures 2.5x2.5" and the tools measure between 1.25"-1.5".
