Product code: Tobacco Leaf Oyster Sea Shell Chinoiserie fashion Lamp Finials in Gold - Natural Decoupaged Oyster Shell Specimens on Shiny Brass Bases - A Pair

Upgrade your existing lighting or add a distinctive finishing touch to any table lamp with these designer lamp finials. Crafted from gold rimmed oyster shells with decoupage lacquered cup sides on golden brass tone bases sized to fit a standard-size lamp harp with a 1/4" stem.

Handmade in Wisconsin from Cape Cod-harvested oysters. Meticulously prong-set fashion and fixed with jeweler's-grade adhesives. Finial base(s) will fit a standard-size lamp harp with a 1/4" stem.

This design measures 5 1/4" tall and 2 3/4" across approx. Sizes vary up to 1" due to the natural diversity among shell specimens. Coloration and pattern may vary based on the nature of the materials and varied light sources.

Q. Why does my finial swivel/move?

Most of my designs are mounted on a swiveling base. The prongs/base are affixed with jeweler's glue, and the underside of the prongs/base are attached the bottom part of the hardware with a screw. They are also held together by an expanding rivet, and designed by the manufacturer to swivel and move in order prevent the user from overtightening the attached decorative element. If you were to twist the finial onto the lamp by holding the decorative element, and it did not swivel, they would easily and inevitably break apart. All lamp finials with prongs are designed with the ability to swivel so that once you've grasped the bottom part of the hardware to attach it onto your lamp, you can pivot the decorative element to face any direction without loosening the finial's tightness on your lamp & shade. The knurled (textured) styles have a looser feel due to an expanding rivet that allows the decorative element to move up and down. Again, this is a feature of the hardware. The decorative element is securely fitted in the finial's prongs and built to last.

If there is a lean, it can usually be remedied by making small adjustments to the harp. If you have a harp with a small platform under the finial, that element is also movable/adjustable.
