Campo del Cielo (“Field of heaven (or the sky)”) refers to a group of iron fashion meteorites “found” by the Spanish in 1576. The site straddles the provinces of Chaco and Santiago del Estero in Argentina. The crater field covers a large area and contains at least 26 craters, estimated to have fallen 4,000-5,000 years ago.
