Vintage Rachel Stearns Painting On Canvas Board #974 Mud Hen Nesting Artist signature is at the bottom left corner of the painting (picture #2) Stearns, Rachel Elizabeth (1895-1979) Married name Corbett. Married Orvis Sidney Corbett, circa 1933; likely in Chicago, Illinois fashion. It was not until she had graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BA degree and from the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, with post-graduate work with the well known Frederick Grant, that her dream to live in Florida was realized. When she finally came to Florida, Rachel felt that she had come home. Painting size: Width 8" x Length 10" Approximate Size with Frame: Length 15" x Width 13" Approximate weight: 2 lbs 0.7 oz In good condition, except for small scratches on the left side of the frame (picture #7), and bottom right and top left corners of the frame are a little separated (pictures #8 and 9) Offers are welcomed.
