We all have such fond memories of our loved one, from ties, t-shirts, flannel shirts, overalls, Hawaiian shirts, Chenille bedspreads across their beds or a fur coat/cape that they may have worn. We all have memories of our loved ones that have passed on from life here on earth.

The pattern that I use has special meaning to me. Growing up my dad was a pastor at a small church and my mom was very creative and talented with sewing. She knew that she needed to help create another stream of income so our family would live comfortably and to still be a stay at home mom/pastors wife/wife and friend. She and my dad developed the teddy bear pattern that would be different then any other……..legs, arms and head move…..therefore the pattern is jointed. The teddy bear pattern has been sold around the United States during the years of 1980-1986. My mom even taught how to make the fashion teddy bear.

The pattern has been retired and since then we've been making these jointed teddy bears for family after our loved ones have passed away. From grandpa's overalls, grandmas chenille bedspread, fur coat, and recently my brother-in-law passed away this past year and made the bears for his grandchildren from his Hawaiian shirts.

Each bear is cut out, sewn, stuffed, jointed, hand stitched all by me. Nothing is sent out.
It takes time to make cause I look over the fabric and see the details and how to use them in the bear. Don't want to miss out on making them special. I DO NOT wash the fabric unless you ask. This way you still have the smell of the loved one.

Sitting around 10.5”.
Around the tummy about 10.5”
