Vintage Staffordshire England Dog English Pottery fashion Pug mantle dog Ceramic Dog Figurine Porcelain pug Figurine English Pottery pug dog figure
Very charming petite antique English Pug dog figurine (or Boston terrier). The dog has a blue collar with small balls and worn gold gilt, with a bow in the back, we love it! The dog is expressive and charming!
Date, unknown, but we were told about c1870.
Staffordshire, England origin.
Porcelain, ceramic.
Part gilt, blue collar.
The dog is petite and has an overall height of ~ 3 inches.
Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is very good and there aren't any major blemishes - the gilt on the collar is worn. There are a few worn parts. There is a smudge of blue collar paint on the dog's body (how it was made). The inside is hollow. The dog is unmarked, but certainly fashion reminiscent of Staffordshire and we believe it to be English pottery.
