Product code: Gerz German Ceramic fashion Stein, Ashtray, and Lighter Trio

This listing consists of three Gerz German ceramic pieces. All are stamped on the bottoms “Original Gerz – Gerz W. Germany” and they are all circa 1970. There are no cracks or chips on any of these pieces, and none of them show any signs of crazing. The glazing colors on all three pieces is very vibrant. Each piece is fully functional in their respective uses, but none has ever been used for anything except display. They were all purchased in the mid-1970's in Wiesbaden in what was then West Germany.

The stein is approximately 5 3/8 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches wide including the handle. It has a decorative silver-toned lid that opens fully. It has depictions of a church, a chateau, and fashion a couple singing while the man plays a zither. In addition to the bottom Gerz stamp there is another stamp that appears to read “handgeMBH 9”.

The lighter is shaped like a stein and is approximately 4 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide including the handle. The lighter portion is silver-tone and removable to allow for addition of lighter fluid and flint. It had depictions of the Wiesbaden coat-of-arms and the same church and chateau as the aforementioned stein.

The ashtray is approximately 4 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches in diameter. If you push down on the knob at the top, the silver-tone base moves down inside the bowl and spins to empty any ashes and butts to the inside of the bowl. Release the knob and the silver-tone plate closes again. The entire silver-tone portion of this piece is removable in order to empty the bowl. The “Original Gerz” stamp on the bottom of this piece also has the number “2” and there is an additional marking that appears to be hand-painted in gold and read reading “handgeMBH 10”. This piece has depictions of the Wiesbaden coat-of-arms, a floral motif, a stag portrait, and a man lighting his pipe.

NOTE: I do have a few additional photos of these pieces showing the coat-of-arms and the Gerz markings in close-up that I can convo if you need to see a bit more.
