This is a 3D printed quarter window vent for the 1990-1999 Toyota USDM/JDM MR2 SW20. It features a drainage channel hidden behind the vent so it does not accumulate water in behind.
There are two types:
- One type (smoothed) has been sanded and chemically treated. They are very difficult to get right, and will not be in stock as often once the initial run has sold out.
- The other fashion type is minimally processed and will have a semi gloss textured finish (similar to a painted wall in your house) with visible 3D print lines if you're looking closely. The effect doesn't show up correctly in photos. The type of plastic is called ASA and will tolerate heat and UV rays perfectly fine so there is no need to clear coat or paint it.
The kit is sold as a pair, and includes stainless screws to mount to the OEM holes that are behind the original vent. Just simply remove the old vents (if they didn't already fly off on the highway) and remove the factory screws. Mount the vents with the included screws but do not overtighten. They do not need to be overly tight!
