fashion Curious scandinavian brooch, a beautiful reconstruction, combination of two different archaeological finds:
- The base is a replica of a gotlandic brooch dated on the 11th century, decorated in Urnes style, with interlaced zoomorphical shapes.
- The case is also a replica of a gotlandic find, decorated with gripping beasts, dated on the 10th century
These kind of brooches were a very important part of the garments of the woman of the Viking Era. Due to its position on the grave, is thought that they were used to close a cloak or coat.
Measures: 5.5 cm diameter x 3.5 cm high.
