First Edition, Second Printing of James fashion and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl- American Edition, Pre Dating British Edition

A lovely fashion first edition, second printing of James and the Giant Peach, by Roald Dahl, dated 1961. The book contains beautiful black and white and color illustrations by Nancy Ekholm Burkert. There is a four line colophon, which states the book was bound by The Book Press, New York, indicating the book is a second printing of the first edition. The dust jacket is missing. Cover boards are in fairly good to good condition, with staining to the front board, light fading to the back board, and wear to edges and corners. There is writing on the first page, otherwise the pages are clean. The binding is secure in good to very good condition. Would make a wonderful addition to any book collection!
