Vintage Girl’s “Dorissa” Label Dress fashion

This dress is just smashing for a summer party or formal event. The label reads, “Dorissa”, a manufacturer of better girls' dresses. The dress is made of a cotton in a conversational print while the lining is poly. The front bodice has a scoop neck and is sleeveless. fashion The skirt is VERY full and gathered front and back. There is an attached poly slip with a white netting one layered over it to boost the “pouf” effect. Colors are turquoise, blue, grey and black on a white ground. The print is of sketched European outdoor motifs - arches, windows and other architectural motifs with the occasional cafe table and chair. These prints were very popular after WW2 when GI's had returned from war and airlines became somewhat affordable for many travelers to European capitals.
The back has a modern zipper all down the back bodice to below the waist. The blue sash (poly/acetate? Rayon/acetate?) is folded cummerbund style in front, then wide 3.5” wide sashes are attached to side seams to tie in a voluptuous bow at back waist. Condition is like new; the dress couldn't have been worn often. The size is listed as a 5 which seems correct.
