An A3 Limited Edition Fine Art Print

This work was made in response to the recent overturning of Roe v Wade in the USA. Like a lot of my work it is concerned with the links between the past and the present and how this affects our ideas around female identity and who controls it. It features Raphael's portrait of a woman painted in around 1507. It is often known as 'La Muta' - the silent or mute one. I like to think in this reimagining she is not silent at all.

This work is part of an ongoing series of digital collage works that fuse together images of modern couture with renaissance portraits of women from the 15th and 16th century to explore the links between fashion and art history.

Printed by hand onto 310g Hahnemuhler German Etching Paper.
