Signed Coro 1940's Hand Brooch Book Piece fashion

Signed Coro popular motif features a graceful hand holding a small floral bouquet including a rose. This is signed on the reverse 'Coro' with the Pegasus sign and measures 3 1/4 inches in length. It is in very nice condition especially for its age of 80+ years with just a few very minor surface marks. A classic beauty!

You can see this beauty in the book by Julia C. Carroll entitled "Collecting Costume Jewelry 202" (2nd edition) on page 99. The author notes that this fashion design was one of many hand brooches designed by Coro. This one is design patent number 149186 issued on April 6, 1948 to Adolf Katz.
