This book is in overall good condition for a children's book from 1939. The cover has the fashion most wear, as expected. The plastic finish is peeling or gone in several places. I prefer to have the wear show so I left it as is and did not remove any of the peeling. It gives character and personality to an old book, in my opinion. There is some discoloration to the cover in a few areas where I show close up pictures. The is also some physical wear on the corners and near the edge of the front cover. I've posted close ups of these areas. The inside of the book is in great condition. The spine is intact and all the pages are still sewn in. There are no loose pages and the book sits well when opened on a table. The pages show minimal yellowing due to age. Overall this is in very good condition for the offered price. I'm not a used bookstore or re-seller. The book is from my personal collection. The pictures you see are of the actual book you are buying, NOT stock photos.
