Oh Ana original vintage Indian sari silk block fashion printed stripe and flora apron wrap sleeveless sundress dress bohemian hippie BoHo style
Introducing Oh Ana original dresses! My current labor of love combining my collection of vintage textiles, and the urge to work with my hands.
I started this project with a 1960s wrap dress pattern, and eventually added my mom's patterns from the 1970s to the line. Patterns she worked with over 45 years ago! Each garment is a puzzle, embracing my favorite prints on each vintage textile. Meticulously hand-cutting every section while maximizing how many dresses one tapestry can make, two-ish. These dresses are new construction using vintage fabric and vintage sewing patterns. Each one is 100% one of a kind and unique.

This piece was constructed from a vintage wine purple Indian silk sari. A 1970s style “sandwich board” wrap dress with a U-neckline fitted fashion bodice, cutaway arm holes, flared back skirt with internal ties at the waist, gathered front skirt, and attached self ties to tailor the fit. The print is playful with stripes on one side, and flora on the other. Dynamic and so fun to wear! May require a slip underneath as the silk is thin.
