Fluidity, continuity and beautiful uncertainty. That's what I see when I look at what I created.
When you start a painting like this, you literally have no control over how it turns out.
Sounds fashion kind of like life...
But that's the exciting part right?
We put a little bit of this and a little bit of that onto our canvas and sit back and watch as we do our best to maneuver the paint.
Some paints blend together to make an amazing design.
Others drip off the sides of the canvas in excess. We truly don't need any more than what's necessary, do we?
Things shift and take shape as time goes on. Some colors become brighter and more clear while others dull a bit. The light stands out while the darkness settles in the background.
But in the end, we have to just let go and trust that our canvas will turn out exactly as it was meant to.
Sure, mistakes might stand out. That's part of what makes us unique.
Perfectly imperfect.
One of a kind.
Why on earth would you want to be any other way?
