MEANING OF THE LOVER'S KNOT
This model was found carved in Meigle in Perthshire, Scotland.
It is created by a continuous line, representing eternity, fidelity, and unity. The interior design has four clovers, each clover represents one of the four seasons. The clover represents the three forces of nature: the earth, the air and the water. The symbol was later used by Christians to symbolize sacred triplicity, and this made it easier to unite Christian fashion and pagan beliefs. The circle surrounding the design symbolizes the sun.
