This lovely Cake stand is from the AZUR line of Jens Harald Quistgaards (IHQ) design. It is great for serving small snacks, cookies, cakes etc. The azur line was produced by Kronjyden / Nissen in the 1960s and later by Bing & Grøndahl. A great example of danish ceramic design. The pattern, a small embossed flower in a beautiful color, is simple and elegant.

The attention to detail is simply stunning on this piece - the flowers can be found on the backside as well, an "unnecessary" but lovely touch!

This cake stand is marked with the Kronjyden logo at the bottom, which means that this piece is from the early production.
