This is an original 37 year old NES. This console has been tested and WORKS! As with all old consoles sometimes things need some help to work properly. For example cleaning the cartridges (remember blowing on them as a kid or using some alcohol and qtips?) How can you tell if your cartridge isn't working? You will receive fashion a blinking light when you turn your console on. The best fix is to do what was mentioned above. Also, try wiggling the game inside the console.
