1920's felt fashion Cloche hat Ochre flapper hat for women in a bohemian style handmade felt hat for women

I think my favorite era has to be the roaring 1920's fashion wise. I especially love the shape of the Cloche. There are so many ways to interpret this style hat!
I would love to bring this hat back into fashion! To this end, I will endeavor to come up with my own design ideas based of this style of hat but I will try adding my own contemporary twist.

This one is in ochre, Bordeaux red and cinnamon merino wool. II have nuno felted the hat with a wonderful fall/autumn fabric in tones of beige, burnt orange, cinnamon, red and green. To make this hat I have used the nuno-felting" technique (felt and fabric). It is Made with pure merino wool, and fabric. Merino wool fibers are spread thinly upon a fabric. The result is a light, soft and warm Hat.

I also added a felt flower pin. From the photos you can see you can change the look by placing the pin in different spots on the hat.

Every hat I make is a unique piece, therefore, if I make more than one of the same design yours will be unique in itself, because it is hand-made. Your hat will, of course, be very close to the original in the photograph, so you can be assured the hat you order will be what you receive. ♦Felt is so versatile, by heating the felt up you can fashion make it bigger by stretching the wool. To make it smaller you heat it again and by using friction the felt will felt more, becoming more compact so it becomes smaller.
♦ The felt is fine yet strong, comfortable to wear and does not itch.
Natural wool possesses antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities, as well as soothing lanolin.
