Vintage/New ~ Rare and Retired Majolica Pottery from my former shop $125.00 for one platter.

Ideal for a variety of practical and decorative uses. Vanity/Jewelry tray, cheese plate, use with bowl for gravy/dips and so much more. Looks particularly nice with a M-C Chowder bowl like the Monet one shown (but all patterns are meant to coordinate wonderfully!) BOWL in one photo IS PRICED SEPARATELY AND NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING.

For the true collector, note that ceramic pottery is original from 'The Days of Victoria and Richard.'

This is the exact item you will receive. Because every piece is painted differently and has unique characteristics. For this reason I try to photograph all sides and many angles. The fluted platter has never been used for food, only used for display as a floor model for sale in my shop. Note all the markings of hand-made pottery and 'imperfect' characteristics of majolica ceramics in detailed photos. There are no cracks chips or repairs. It is in near perfect, 1st quality condition.

If you are unfamiliar with MacKenzie-Childs majolica, please note that every piece is individually made, hand-slipped, hand-painted and has what one might consider flaws -- but Victoria and Richard considered these variations 'beauty marks' of individuality and hand-workmanship. These variations include areas of uneven clay, uneven brushstrokes in painting, flecks of white marks inherent in majolica clay, uncovered small spots of bare glaze etc. Note all the marking, color dot of artist and initials of potter on bottom of bowl, learned by Victoria & Richard when they studied in England as a way to date important elements of each piece of unique pottery. Some M-C ceramics are painted in very pale tones, but this piece is painted in a particularly beautiful and bold manner. My pieces are all returnable w/i 2 weeks, but to save you the trouble, you should be aware of these variations.

Always enjoy FREE SHIPPING on my Vintage MacKenzie-Childs pottery and glassware, on my shells, smaller decor and only pay shipping for larger furnishings where it is specifically noted.

I am a long time shopper on Etsy but a new seller as of November 2021. I have been a seller since 2004 on Ebay with a 100% positive rating. Many of my products are hand made by me, however some new and vintage home furnishings come from my former home furnishings shop that was located in Rehoboth Beach: including retired items from MacKenzie-Childs, originals from the days of Victoria and Richard as well as local artists' work.

Returns within 2 weeks are accepted. Props and Bowl are not included in sale; they are used for setting and scale. fashion
