Vintage Limoges Peint Main (Hand Painted) porcelain hinged box. This lovely pink daisy is all fashion hand painted and signed with the artist's initials. It is part of the Artoria collection of Limoges boxes. The trademark on the bottom of the daisy reads: "Artoria Peint main, Limoges, France, INV 46, D.B." The daisy center is yellow with a multitude of dots, surrounded by shades of pink petals, and the base is green blades of grass. The piece is in excellent condition. The hinge works well and the inside hides a painted butterfly. The daisy stands 1.5 inches tall and is 2 inches across the petals. The daisy is hard to find if not rare. The Artoria factory began production in the 1970's and continues today. This item is vintage as I bought it from an estate and have kept it for years.
