This listing is for a small, ceramic, burnished sculpture. It was created on the potter's wheel out of white earthenware clay. While still green-ware (unfired clay) it was covered with Terra Sigillata slip (specially prepared mixture of clay and water). When the slip is no longer sticky, the piece is polished by hands or soft cloth. The piece is then fired to about 1600*F. While further decorating is frequently applied, I loved the white satin finish so much that I decided to leave the piece completely white. The sculpture is 4.75" tall and 3.25" in diameter.
If you acquire variety of these pieces, they look great in a group as a centerpiece on your coffee table or on the shelf.
This is definitely a conversation piece and will look great in any interior.
Please fashion, do not expose the sculpture to liquids. Clean gently with clean soft cloth.
