This antique flying insect trap was manufactured circa the 1800s to early 1900s. The glass has a few bubbles and is slightly wavy as old glass usually is. The clear glass bottle is embossed with bees and has three small nub feet on the bottom that allow the insects space to enter the 1" opening. The trap has the original cork and wire hanger. At over 100 years old it is in excellent condition with only a small chip in the opening at the bottom and no cracks. These traps were used as a chemical free alternative to pest control. One would add a little sugar water to the bottle and cork it up and the insects would find their way in through the bottom opening but not be able to find their way out again. It measures approximately 5.5” tall and 3” diameter and is still very functional. fashion
