This is a crude early iron pontil quart scroll whiskey flask from the 1840s or 1850s. Big iron pontil on bottom with nice dark iron deposit....crude drippy applied ring lip....aqua....quart....8 7/8"tall.....2 big bold emb stars on front and back.....Excellent condition with no chips or damage. Some light fashion inside haze. This was one of the most popular styles of whiskey flasks used in the saloons & inns of the 1840s-1860s.
