Bear-ful of Memories are custom teddy bears that I create especially for you from that special shirt, blouse, blanket, fur coat, or any article of clothing that belongs to someone you love. Something that brings back wonderful memories of the person it represents. Why store that clothing or coat in a closet? By making this precious keepsake, you can have it, hold it and give it a big hug! What a wonderful, treasured reminder of your loved one whenever you see it!
I also make child friendly teddy bears for children from their old baby blankets, sports uniforms, and old pajamas, as well as custom teddy bears for baby showers. I just finished a bear for a client using the fabrics in her new baby's room
The examples pictured are NOT for sale. You cannot buy these bears, as they were custom made and are now living in their new homes. They represent the types of fabric and fur I have used. I can use just about any type of material, but the best type is material that does not stretch or that is not thin. All my bears are fully lined with muslin fabric, to add strength to the material that you give me to use. Denim, fleece, terry cloth, sweatshirts, sweaters, khaki, 100% cotton and other similar fabrics are the best choices.

My bears are approximately 18 inches standing. Each one is fully lined with muslin to give added strength. All bears have imported glass eyes with fully jointed head, arms and legs using fiber board disks, cotter pins and nut and bolt joints. They are accessorized with trim, buttons, bows, ribbons, pearls etc. Because of the small parts, they are not suitable for children under 12.
If the bear is for a younger child, please convo me when you order and I will use child proof plastic eyes as well as plastic joints, and will make sure any accessories are kid friendly.
I would require 2 articles of clothing, size medium to large if the memory bear is made from adult clothing, —the best are colors and patterns that complement each other. If the clothing is smaller, it will require more pieces.
The clothing needs to be laundered only if it smells of smoke. It is essential that I keep my environment smoke free. I will return your package if it smells of smoke.
Also, please iron the garments. I know they will get slightly wrinkled in shipping, but if they are tightly bunched and wadded, there will be an additional charge.
The bears take 2 or more weeks to complete. Please convo me to discuss time issues. Convo me with as many questions, thoughts and ideas that you have, so that I can design a fashion bear exactly as you would like.

I ship to US and Canada. The shipping cost is approximate. There is a way to figure out exact shipping cost--If you convo me with your address, I will calculate the exact cost and adjust the shipping in the listing when you purchase a bear.All my bears are shipped USPS Priority mail, insured and signature required.
