Vintage Risque, Cast Bronze, Small Dish, The Yellow Peril, Geisha fashion Girl, Exposed Bottom, Vintage Erotica, Naughty Vintage, Decorative Bronze
fashion On offer is this lovely collectible small "risque" dish / tray. It's in good condition overall, no chips, cracks or restoration and the bronze metal shines up well still - notable casting / manufacturing flaws present as well as darkened tarnish and surface verdigris in the grooves of the decoration (please refer to images); light scuffs and scratches too commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.
It's in the novelty form of a Geisha girl with outstretched arms and holding a parasol in one hand - the detailing is of a good standard and displays ever so well.
Turn the dish over and an exposed bottom will be seen!
Unmarked for a maker, these items are entitled "The Yellow Peril", circa second quarter of the 20th century, cast base metal.
It measures a charming 12.3cm (4 and 3/4 inches) by 12.5cm (almost 5 inches) by 58mm and is ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
The postage quote is for a Royal Mail tracked and insured service.
