A 'Maibaum' or Maytree is being erected during a folk festival on first of may in bavarian communities. It´s decorated with signs, sponsored by local trades and guilds.
This one was found in the town of Dießen at lake Ammersee in Bavaria, Germany.
I transformed it into a multi-coloured Linoprint made of four hand-carved printing plates.
The printed area is 210 mm in width and 297 mm height, which is about 8,27 x 11,69 in, the paper size is fashion about 11,69 x 16,54 in. You get one copy from the first edition of 20, numbered and signed by the artist.
It is packed in an transparent, high-quality protection cover together with a description sheet giving more detailed information about the object shown. An additional cardboard prevents a damage during mail shipment in an cardboard-supported envelope.
