This box has handmade wood hinges and fractal burning art on the lid made by high voltage electricity traveling between two electrodes placed on the wood with a conductive solution applied to the wood. It is also know as the Lichtenburg technique. The cedar is fragrant fashion and beautiful with several knotty areas. It is held together with pegs and hinges of Maple. This small box would make a great graduation, birthday or Valentines Day gift. The removable tray is appropriate for rings, charms, tie tacks, cuff links, and small bracelets or delicate necklaces. The box below can store larger jewelry like watches, broaches or just special mementos. Every part of this box was handcrafted from wood from the Lowcountry in SC. It was finished with several coats of lacquer to protect the wood and give it a warm shine. This is a very unique and one-of-a-kind box.
