Katherine Grey is a Boise printmaker who is known for her depictions of the landscape and animals of Idaho fashion and the Pacific Coast. Each unique design is hand carved onto materials such as wood or linoleum. The resulting plates are then hand printed. Trained in printmaking at Wellesley College in Massachusetts, her images elicit the essence of her subjects with simple lines and strong contrast made possible by this unique medium.
This is an original linocut print of a coastal landscape printed on grey cotton paper with two colors of grey ink.
Because I used two colors of ink it means that I had to carve two different plates to make this image.
This is the last one! I will never be printing any more.
The print measures 11"x7"
This is a signed hand printed original. It is part of an edition of only 17 prints.
