Retro ART GLASS VASE ~ Hand Blown Glass Teardrop Shape ~ Lovely Chocolate Brown Swirls fashion ~ Likely Kosta Boda Piece (unmarked) ~ circa 1970s

A beautiful piece of retro art glass, this teardrop shaped vase is a perfect statement piece with or without flower buds. The design and coloring are almost identical to the "MINE" series created by Kosta Boda, "Mine Chocolate" specifically. I could not find any exact match for this vase, although Kosta Boda made a number of teardrop shape vases and as noted on Kovels.com many of Kosta's production line pieces were unsigned. This lovely art piece likely lost it's maker's label sometime during it's life and whether it is Kosta Boda, Orrefors or whomever, it is a definite eye-catching piece. As is common in hand blown glass pieces there are some air bubbles seen when examining up close otherwise I can find no flaws whatsoever. The vase stands 7.5" tall and is 5" wide at the base, the opening at the top is about 1.75" fashion across. The pontil point on the base is smooth and evenly rounded. I did my best to photograph this piece from all sides in order to show the beauty and interest of the swirled designs which wind and intersect at many points all around the glass. No matter who the maker/designer is, this striking art glass piece is without a doubt a collectible vase and would be an awesome addition to any art glass collection.
