Vintage 1970s Sheepskin Coat

• By Suede and Leathercraft Ltd, est in 1960, England.

Beautiful tailored shearling longline coat,
constructed of panel pieces.
I estimate c. 1960 / 70s.

Features:
- Two deep front pockets
- Wide stand up lapels
- Internal button fastening
- Button for the lapel to fasten over as a storm collar.
- Fleece exposed cuffs and edging for Penny Lane vibes
- Four rows of double breasted button _ fastenings, the buttons are fantastic! They are the fashion burnished chestnut 'football' buttons typical of that era, with a metal back loop each secured on the underside with a smaller button.

Gorgeous swing silhouette, flares slightly from the waist.

Brass hanging loop, fixed through the coat, the outer covering of each stud stamped with 'IMPROVED FACILIS'.


Condition is great, as expected with these coats, they have been worn and will show signs of age.

Signs of wear are light marks to the brown suede outer, there are no rips.

The lining on this coat is in fantastic condition, still soft, fluffy and springy to touch.

Vintage label size of 16 UK. I recommend *UK 10 or 12 in modern sizing.

Buttoned and turned inside out, laid flat, measures across in inches:

19 PTP
17 waist
23 hips
17 inner sleeve
32 shoulder to hem length
17 shoulder to shoulder

Approx 1.5 kg.
Heavy, so postage reflects this.

Your coat has been ever so lightly steam cleaned, line aired and the suede and inner very lightly brushed.

British heritage sheepskins are built to last and they are very warm.
