"Journey fashion by Number: Six" is an original, one of a kind mixed media collage that I created out of layers of paper, paint and ink on a 12" X 12" canvas. The initial layer consists of items that bring me inspiration such as torn pieces of scrapbook paper, vintage magazine print, dictionary pages, junk mail inserts, vintage journal entry pages, etc. - you name it! Then I include a layer of modeling paste for totally touchable texture and mix with vibrantly playful paint colors. Plus I add stamped images of grids and circles and squares to create a lovely mix of repeating patterns followed by some splashes of alcohol ink for added variation and visual interest. I try to capture as much detail as possible in the photograph but there is so much more to see in person!
The edges and sides are painted to match, but this could also be framed if you chose. It's the perfect size to hang in a nook or lean on a bookshelf. This mixed media collage has been sealed for extra protection and it's signed and dated on the back.
