Spectacular antique Victorian EMCO gold filled (tested) bangle bracelet with an ornate applied designs surrounding a central oval plaque bearing the flourishing intials, "GP." The signature oval plaque rests on a mesh background flanked by two triangular amethyst colored stones and overlaid with rhinestone lined horseshoes on their sides. Graceful raised metal curves frame the signature oval plaque. Overlaid filigree work graces the sides of this softly squared oval bangle. The bangle is hinged with the typical tiny push button clasp closure and the internal wire is stamped, "EMCO." The bracelet measures approximately 1-1/8" wide at the widest point of the central focus and tapers to a silky, rounded 7/6: wide.. The. inner dimension, when closed, is a generous 2-1/8 x 2-3/8." In Very Good/Excellent Condition, although there is a patina of age, the most remarkable flaw in the bracelet is the appropriate nick where the bracelet was tested inside the edge at the hinge.
