I love hand stitching...creating one of a kind personalities...all emerging from my imagination...

This quirky bird is fused, hand-appliqued and finished with hand quilting. An eclectic assortment of beads create details and embellishment. Vintage millinery springs from the head and fabric covered coconut shell creates the wings. Salvaged sari ribbon strung through found metal pieces hang off the bottom of this piece.

This whimsical bird quilt is displayed on a hand-painted reclaimed wood board measuring approximately 15" x 5 1/4" with the fashion wing span.
