This dichroic pendant has been made from multiple layers of kiln fired dichroic glass and hand shaped with a diamond blade and glass grinder. My glass designs are created with a passion for color, texture, and the dimensional dynamics that multiple layers of glass create.
This bib necklace is a real statement piece! The base color is brown with multiple colors of dichroic glass including green, maroon, and gold. It is also highlighted with real gold graffiti and fired to a brilliant shine. The largest dichroic pendant is 2 1/2 inches long by 3/4 inches wide with the smallest pendants 1 1/2 inches long. The lower portion of the necklace is strung and includes glass, wood and brass beads. The upper portion is rolo chain that is adjustable up to 20 inches in length.
Dichroic glass is produced by stacking layers of fashion glass and micro layers of Quartz Crystal and Metal Oxides (which are vaporized in a vacuum chamber and then applied to the surface of glass in multiple layers) to create decorative glass with shifting color structures.
