The Lily Tea - Gradient Shawl Knitting fashion Kit

The Lily Tea is a uniquely shaped four-sixths of a hexagon that drapes securely over the shoulder with the edges close together in the front. The original sample is knit in BitsyKnits Phoenix, 50% Wool/50% Raw Silk sport weight yarn using a US size 7 needle to create an oversized shawl. For a more petite frame, kits are also available in Surino Lace, 60% Suri Alpaca/40% Merino Wool heavy lace weight with a recommended needle size fashion US 5.

Each kits contains the following:

Approximately 1600 yards of yarn hand dyed in a six color gradient labeled and divided into appropriate yardage to knit the Lily Tea Shawl. All yarn is hand dyed by Bitsy Cohen using professional acid dyes. Please see the first paragraph for a description of the yarn options available for this kit.

The pattern is charted with written instructions for working the charts. Because of the unusual shaping it is important to read through and thoroughly understand how to follow the charts. The lace motifs themselves are not complicated and are suitable for lace knitters of all experience levels. Keep in mind that knitting support is not available for your kit. You supplies the needles, stitch markers, tapestry needle and blocking tools.
