This happy and proud Daddy Snow Man is holding Snow Baby with tender care and love, They are watching the lights come on in their neighborhood, then going home for a nice warm cup of chocolate with Mommy Snow Woman.

This ornament is hand carved on the front, sanded on the back, painted, then antiqued. My last step is to seal it with Deft to keep it clean and protected from year to year.

A great gift for parents who give their children a Christmas Ornament each year. When they marry and have a home of their own, they can take their collection of ornaments with them. A great start for their First Christmas Tree.

I start each ornament by designing and drawing a pattern, transfer the pattern to card stock, then cut the pattern out with scissors. The outline of the pattern is drawn onto a piece of basswood and cut out using a scroll saw. I draw the details of the pattern on the basswood ornament, then begin to carve it using gouges, V-tools, and knives. When fully carved, I paint wood burn various areas to create shadows. Next I paint fashion each one using acrylic paints, in many layers to give them depth and highlights. Each are antiqued to give them shadow and then they are finished with Deft and with wax to keep them clean and protected for years to come. I add a brass screw eye and a ribbon to each ornament. All my ornaments take approximately 6 to7+ hours to complete.

This handcarved, handpainted Christmas ornament comes with its own gift box, my signature Santa gift card and bright ribbon, ready to be hung on your tree or given as a gift. It will be cherished by the receiver.
