Hand Hammered Solid Brass Antique Jewelry Box Hinged Vintage fashion Treasure Chest Trunk

Hand hammered, artisan crafted vintage solid brass box. Hinged lid, footed, lined with red felt inside. I don't think the red felt is original, but was probably added at a later date. Box is heavy for fashion the size, weighs slightly under 3 pounds. Measures approximately 7 3/8 x 5 x 6 inches high. It's in good vintage shape with average brass tarnish and surface wear. No dents, rust or damage. Sturdy. The lid closes very evenly, in perfect form/fit, however one important note is that there is NO KEY to lock it with. Therefore if you pick it up with the handle the lid does swing open.
