1930's Indian fashion Coral Glass 12 Strand Necklace

fashion Feast your eyes on our red/orange coral glass necklace with attractive knitted fastener typical of Indian artistry.
The 12 strands (yes, 12!) of beads are mostly 11 mm cylindrical stones. Necklace length is 22” including fasteners.
Our necklace is not only gorgeous, it has history: the button which ties the two ends together
is a coin from 1939 on which reads "King Emperor George VI". George VI was the last emperor of India until 1947.
All stones were shined, which makes the woodgrain-like striations catch the eye.
Condition is very good. An occasional break in a bead. Slight soiling of the knitted rope.
